Where do I start with blogs? (I have never used one and find it a bit complicated)?

Someone just told me that a good way of testing the market, is to start a blog (before opening a web store). I don't have a clue about blogs!


Can anyone please tell me if this would help also increase exposure for my ebay listings and more importantly WHERE TO START nice and easy?

It's free and pretty fun to use. They get a lot of traffic at blogger also, so it's a good way to promote stuff. You can also open a myspace page for free and have a blog on there.
