How can I categorize my blogs?

I would like to organize my blog posts, so that if someone hits a hyperlink to the words on the main screen they can just see the posts that are relevant.

Say I have a blog that deals with Jelly, Cream and Mustard, and each post I make refers to one - or more - of these three items, even if they are not mentioned in the blogs explicitly. I have two issues: how do I embed an appropriate metatag in each posting I make, and secondly how do I set it up so if I hit the "Jelly" link I will only see those posting with the metatag of %26lt;jelly%26gt;?

I am using Blogger, if that makes any difference.

How can I categorize my blogs?
Blogger doesn't offer categories off-the-shelf. If you look into their help section, there is some help on categories/ also known as "tags" - you will have to find your way around.

If you really want tags/ categories and Blogger doesn't make it easy for you, try blog which offer categories. You may host your blog for free on a variety of other sites. A really good one would be wordpress.com. You'd get an http://yourblog.wordpress.com address.

Good luck!

On yahoo make it friends only . Then you decide who can and who cannot see it.

Ive discovered a whole labrynth of cryptic message blogs, all linked there are?

thousands of pages of these coded blogs and they mention things like home land security and terrorism issues of international importance. I have an Idea on part way how to cack them, like im putting the key together but im stuck. Its definately serious stuff , I just found it by mistake when I typed a search wrongly and I opened up a whole pandoras box of coded blogs. I think from what I can see from thetextas its the good guys communicating, not the bad guys , What would you do.

I'd assume they were full of junk designed to gain Google PageRank and make money through advertising (then I'd either ignore them, or mention them to the advertisers).

How do I make my Blogs popular?
Well ! there are two methods, paid and Free. Paid is quick and free one takes abit time but provides long time results. Paid is adwords, Free is SEO or Organic Search Engine Optimisation.

You need to optimise your web site. SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is the only way to get good traffic free ;)

You need to do two aspects of SEO

1 is On site Optimisation, which includes adding Titles, META, Keywoerds, then content related to your META. Also Alt tag for images can optimise your images.

2nd is Off site optimisation, which includes getting good links from other web sites related to your content/topic.

Also consider Social Bookmarking for Offsite Optimisation.

I will suggest you to use http://www.Tagza.com - submit your stories there, thats Cool young web site and any submitted URL goes to its home page.

There is alot to do and it needs patience ;)

I hope this helps, if it does, please select as BEST answer ;)

Cheers
Reply:Go to OTHER blogs on Blogger and comment. This will drive traffic to yours.

Where online can I find blogs online that pay people to review movies?

Does anyone know of any blogs online that pay people to review movies on DVD, in theaters or on TV? I'd like to do movie reviews as I see a lot of them and have a lot of them on DVD. Can anyone please help me out?

Where online can I find blogs online that pay people to review movies?
It's doubtful you can find a paying position reviewing films online or off until you have experience and some reviews to show the hiring person(s). Too much competition!

The only possibility I can think of is if you're already involved with some group that maintains (or starts) a blog and knows you well enough to be willing to pay you to review films for it. Maybe a church group? Still...that's a long shot, IMHO.

To develop your reviewing ability and create a portfolio of reviews, you can write online customer reviews of films at amazon.com. Just find the movie you're interested in reviewing and scroll down past the editorial reviews. There is a section with customer reviews and you will see a link that invites customers to do a review.

I see that you can do the same thing on Barnes %26amp; Noble's website. Borders offers the same option but is teamed with Amazon so it would probably be unnecessary to do a separate review for Borders.
Reply:Maybe the next best thing is a Payperpost that pays for movie reviews.

Why can't the members of 360 view all all the blogs in one central place?

and

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

BUT BEFORE you begin inviting anyone, you will need to add much more content to your 360 space. There's a lot you can do - make a customized background, open up your comment box and communications setttings, add profile information, add blogs with text, music and video. Read and experiment with the following resources for help:

- IMPORTANT!: Thoroughly read the 360 COMMUNITY GUIDELINES at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui...

- HELP Pages: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/

- For MORE TIPS see some of my previous answers on various Y!360 %26amp; Y/A subjects by clicking on my avatar and scrolling down to click on my "Starred Questions" tab. Also, my Y!360 space has visuals and instructions if you go to the blog and click on the "360tips", "music", "vids" tags as well as check out some highlighted posts on the right side.

- For IDEAS you can check out other 360 pages by clicking on your "Search" link at the top of 360 or by going to http://360.yahoo.com/search.html

- The 360 team blog at http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 has many helpful links on the right side to help with setting up a 360 space and using other services with it.

IAS lobby to counter promptly adverse comments on blogs against sixth pay commission?

Civil Servants, mainly IAS (or is it masters ?) lobby to counter strongly and promptly adverse comments on blogs against Sixth pay commission.

It was reported on anecdotal and proxy evidence that IAS body is disturbed on the adverse rants on the performance of civil services. It consulted IT expert if filters could be employed on comments on such blogs getting posted. IT experts advised as not technically possible. It decided to appoint multidisciplinary group to counter the blog contents.

It has been noticed any comments against on any blog are getting lightering response.

The responses raise doubts how the energy has been mustered by IDLE Administrative Service (IAS) who otherwise never respond.

Blog = Weblog. Which is an online journal, used to chronicle your life for friends and families (and strangers!) to read.

There are quite a few sites that you can join to create your own blog.

Livejournal http://www.livejournal.com is one of the most popular. But there are tons online! Try typing in 'blog' in yahoo search engine, and find a site that you are comfortable with. Keep in mind that some sites don't allow privacy concerning your blog, so make sure you read the terms before you sign up.

Can someone please, intelligently, explain BLOGS to me?

Can someone please, intelligently, explain BLOGS to me?

i know, this sounds like a prank question.....but i truly don't understand....

What is their use?, purpose or intent...?....and How do you use them?

{inspired from trying/exploring the 360 page....}

Can someone please, intelligently, explain BLOGS to me?
Yes. A blog is a website you create in which you make posts, either daily or however often you want, and you invite others to view your site and they can comment on your blog and your site. Blogs are connected by your friends list on your website.

You can show pictures on your blog or just ask questions or make daliy entries of your thoughts. And you can also visit your freinds' sites and see and comment on what they have there.
Reply:it is basically an online journal
Reply:A "blog" is an automated substitute for building a personal website. It enables people who do not know HTML, or how to do generic website tasks, to post their own page on the 'net.

Blogs are also /very/ convenient, compared to "the real thing", and there is a major competition among blog service providers to build user base and traffic. So, lots of neat bells and whistles are available. "These kids today" often make their blog(s) a key part of their social lives as well.

Some folks make a minor amount of money by placing ads on their blog pages - but it takes a lot of traffic, a.k.a. a lot of very interesting posts, to make this happen. Another use for a blog, is to store and share links to useful resources, fun stuff, etc.; the Stumbleupon service exists for the latter purpose and works well.
Reply:it is some kind of diary

people can see who you are, what happend to you ,what you interest in, or anything you want to express

sound like sharing your life?
Reply:A blog (which is short for weblog) is an online journal. Popular blog sites include livejournal.com and myspace.com. To use one, one types in text into a box such as this one and clicks submit. The text, though usually in journal or revelatory style, is often used to promote political issues or those related to journalism.

Since they provide an open forum that can be read by as many people as you choose, they can be used for as many different things as the imagination allows. Examples include staying connected with friends, writing essays, or describing the color of your socks.

For more information on blogs, please go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog
Reply:Blogs are like a diary on the internet. They can be public or private. Yahoo! has one on 360 pages that is free.
Reply:Well, blogs can be something like an online journal, or like an editorial in a newspaper. It's a way to share your thoughts on certain subjects or events on a large scale. As for how to use them, it depends on which blog service you elect to use. There are some that are very complex, and others that are simple to figure out, like 360 or Myspace, for instance.
Reply:A weblog, which is usually shortened to blog, is a type of website where entries are made (such as in a journal or diary), displayed normally with the newest item first. Blogs often offer commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual although many focus on photographs, videos or audio. The word blog can also be used as a verb, meaning adding an entry to a blog. The first blogs date back to 1994 with the first popular blogs starting around 2001. The September 11 attacks helped them to grow as many people used their blogs to express their feelings.
Reply:BLOG is shortened from web log. It's just a place for someone, anyone, to say their 2 cents worth. Some are just vanity pieces, some technical, and people can respond to a blogger's comments and that creates what is called a thread. Joe's comment, Frank's return, Joe's answer, Frank' response... that sort of thing. Just personal soap boxes.
Reply:its like a huge public bulletine board where u can post your ideas/ comment/ experience/ etc ..
Reply:think of it as a diary that other people can read.
Reply:A blog is an online journal. You can use it to share information about your life, express your political views, promote your art or writing, or become part of an online community of people with similar interests. People can then comment on whatever you post (unless you disable comments) and you can talk about it. It can help you get to know people online better.

The exact details of how you use them vary from service to service, but basically you just update when you want to update, and comment when you want to, and enjoy the chance to communicate.

You need to delete the code you used to hide it.

Because your profile is set to private, I cannot determine what the code is for you.

Should school officals regulate student blogs?

The country over, students are being punished for legal activites. Where do we draw the line? Students speaking their minds on non-school owned blogs and or paying for lunch with pennies...how is this disruptive? Could adminstrators be thinking all is fair in the name of the revoultion?

Should school officals regulate student blogs?
Schools have SO much power over students these days, and most of the rules are unnecessary and more disruptive than what they're actually trying to prevent. Pennies are CURRENCY, whether or not the school likes that fact, so those people who get PAID to take money from children and put it in the cash register should get over it and accept the change. We do it at Tim Hortons all the time. Get over it, people!

And for the blogging, I can understand if there are THREATS on the blog about bombing, destructive things, harm to other students or to faculty. But if it's just a rant about how much you hate somebody and WISH they would get hurt, that's a different matter. Wishing someone ill and PLANNING to cause someone harm are two different things. Teenagers have emotions, damnit, and they need to vent somewhere. With all these school rules, you'd expect them to need to vent more and more. Where better to do so that on the internet?

I think the school should keep its nose out of things like that. If anybody's going to be charged with internet bullying or threats, that should be a matter for the police, if the incident is pressing enough. Not for the school.
Reply:Let's remember that the public school system's function is to provide education for it's students, not an outlet for free speech - if you want that, go to college. Rules are made so that the organization can function for the majority. There are intelligent ways to promote change - is it okay if I wear a t-shirt to school that says "kill all the *******?" What about one that says "White People: the new white meat?" Is anything fair game? No.

Students don't know enough (legally or ethically) in many cases to know where to "draw the line." The penny incident - frankly, I applaud their initiative, but the result was that many students were unable to get lunch because of the time taken, and that was wrong. There was a better way to get the point across without depriving some students of their ability to eat, especially when for many students in low-income neighborhoods - school lunch is the best meal they get all day. Of course, you won't hear from them - they don't have a computer at home, much less Internet access.

Threats leveled against individuals on blogs or web pages, or the "bullying" that takes place is inappropriate and immature. You'll notice that it doesn't happen among intelligent people over 30 years of age; threats are a violation of the law - you want those 12 year olds tossed in jail for exercising their so-called "freedom of speech" by organizing a "Let's beat up Billy" web page?

Movements to get teachers fired have gone back many years and are legitimate, a blog is simply a different communication medium. Again, however, that action should only be taken for justifiable actions - not because a teacher gave you a grade of "D" because you put off doing your paper until the night before and did a crappy job. Understand the criteria before you pass judgement. You want to change the system, you have to change it from the inside.

I can't wait until you have to join the military or try and pledge a fraternity. Tell me how you want to take action or voice your opinion then.

You won't like this answer because it's not what you want to hear - but it's the truth.
Reply:Censorship. No.
Reply:If minors use school facilities the school should regulate the usage.

How to make money from blogs?

Especially google blogs .

how to put advertisement? How can i start one?

How to make money from blogs?
Some people have strong personal feelings with respect to making money from their blogs. If you think commercializing your blog is evil, immoral, unethical, uncool, lame, greedy, obnoxious, or anything along those lines, then don’t commercialize it.

If you have mixed feelings about monetizing your blog, then sort out those feelings first. If you think monetizing your site is wonderful, fine. If you think it’s evil, fine. But make up your mind before you seriously consider starting down this path. If you want to succeed, you must be congruent. Generating income from your blog is challenging enough — you don’t want to be dealing with self-sabotage at the same time. It should feel genuinely good to earn income from your blog — you should be driven by a healthy ambition to succeed. If your blog provides genuine value, you fully deserve to earn income from it. If, however, you find yourself full of doubts over whether this is the right path for you, you might find this article helpful: How Selfish Are You? It’s about balancing your needs with the needs of others.

If you do decide to generate income from your blog, then don’t be shy about it. If you’re going to put up ads, then really put up ads. Don’t just stick a puny little ad square in a remote corner somewhere. If you’re going to request donations, then really request donations. Don’t put up a barely visible “Donate” link and pray for the best. If you’re going to sell products, then really sell them. Create or acquire the best quality products you can, and give your visitors compelling reasons to buy. If you’re going to do this, then fully commit to it. Don’t take a half-assed approach. Either be full-assed or no-assed.

You can reasonably expect that when you begin commercializing a free site, some people will complain, depending on how you do it. I launched this site in October 2004, and I began putting Google Adsense ads on the site in February 2005. There were some complaints, but I expected that — it was really no big deal. Less than 1 in 5,000 visitors actually sent me negative feedback. Most people who sent feedback were surprisingly supportive. Most of the complaints died off within a few weeks, and the site began generating income almost immediately, although it was pretty low — a whopping $53 the first month. If you’d like to see some month-by-month specifics, I posted my 2005 Adsense revenue figures earlier this year. Adsense is still my single best source of revenue for this site, although it’s certainly not my only source. More on that later…

What are some good websites/blogs on illegal immigration issue?

I'm looking for some websites/blogs on this divisive issue that are not as extreme one way or the other. Or if you know one for amnesty then maybe there's another against. I prefer one with forums or comments so I can gauge what the feelings are among the those visiting and posting on the respective website.

i hear ya! my blogs never get comments. but then again, sometimes i get the dumbest answers. i guess it goes both ways
Reply:No. Too much of YA is composed of jackassery, propagandizing and insult. There is not much exchange of info, overall.
Reply:Use 360 for that. At least then yahoo answers will have either answers or questions when people click on it. Your 360 page gives you much more room to work with.

What is google adsense and Blogs?
Hi,

AdSense is an advertising program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text and image advertisements on their sites. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on a per-click basis. Google utilizes its search technology to serve ads based on website content, the user's geographical location, and other factors. Those wanting to advertise with Google's targeted ad system may sign up through AdWords. ...

A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog.

Reply:Google Adsense is Google's adsense program where you get paid when visitors click on the ads that appear on your website or blog.

If you're thinking of joining you must first have a website or blog (and make sure that you are allowed to put adsense ads on them) and your site first has to be approved by adsense. Once approved, you can now start adding the ads to your site.

You get paid when visitors to your site click on the ads. You must make at least $100 for the month before adsense will send you a payment of either a check or a bank transfer.

Blogs are short for web logs - ie a log, diary, journal

How do paging works on blogs? What kind of script/code is it using?

I am wondering how blogs, online journals, xangas etc. know how to display certain number of entries/articles on one page. For example, on Wordpress, you can set to show 10 articles/entries per page.

What kind of script/code(s) make that happen?

What's such "function" call?

How do paging works on blogs? What kind of script/code is it using?
This is generally called pagination or record set enumeration. Pagination is more common with online uses.

It works pretty much the same in all programming languages e.g.

1) Send a query to database to find total number of posts

2) Send a query to the database e.g. find 10 most recent posts

3) Divide total by 10, to give you number of pages

4) Display

Wordpress is PHP, xanga I vaguely remember being python but as I said pretty much any modern language can talk to a database.

It depends what your main celebrity interest is. Some celebrity blogs focus on different things. If you want gossip then visit Perezhilton.com, pinkisthenewblog.com, dlisted.com.

How people make money from blogs, etc...?

Hello,

Im currently studing, and need some stuff to help complete my study, and since I cannot work yet, I need some money for expensive stuff. How people makes money with blogs, etc...? I have a paypal donate button but never got anything, not $1 or .50!

If anybody know, what is the best way to make money in the internet, without be able to work yet?

How people make money from blogs, etc...?
Obviously, to make money someone will have to pay you, this can be a customer, client, employer, etc..

For them to pay you, you have to offer something of value to them. It boils down to, "what can you do for others (that they will pay for)"

Once you have something of value to someone else, you need to reach those people. This isn't always easy.

I have several tools you can use to charge for membership sites, sell digital content and/or collect sales leads. These tools are available at:

http://www.geniegate.com/listings/

But they won't help you unless you have an actual, real product/service to offer.

As far as making money with blogs, unless you are a superstar you can probably forget it.

There are people who will hire you to write for them, but they won't pay until (you guessed it) you have something of value to offer them. That means, if you write for other people, you need a lot of targeted visitors.

You can place advertisements on your blog, but, you won't earn any money unless (you guessed it) you have real content that is valuable to people and you are able to draw a targeted audience.

No one is going to donate unless you have spent hundreds of hours developing something they feel is worthy of donating to. As far as donations, you'll probably earn $0.25/hr if you are lucky. You would be better off throwing your hat down on a busy sidewalk.
Reply:Don't be fooleed about any quick rich scam!!

I recomend you learn, and get good tools for start.

So I don't recomend you those books of $97, $150...

Because all of them is not for become rich, they are for becoming more rich than you are now. So if you are not rich now, forget them. All of them are based in huge opt in list (that in starts you don't have), huge amount of visitors to your website (that in starts you don't have)...

So if you are starting I recomend one package I've bought a month ago, and was a very good deal:

Why cant i see my blogs on my yahoo 360 page, even though the settings are set to public?

i can see them when i click on start a new blog, but none of my friends can see the blogs, and the word "blog" doesnt show up above my pic on my profile page when they look at it.

Why cant i see my blogs on my yahoo 360 page, even though the settings are set to public?
I checked the mature content - the blogs don't show up whether I choose to view mature content or not.

1) Double-check your settings

At the top of the "My Blog" page click the "Edit Blog Settings" link. Make sure you put a title, then scroll down and activate your simple URL and change the "who can see your blog" and "who can post comment" settings to Public. Also, check the "Publish Mature Content on My Blog" box, if you think you might do that. Make sure to click "Save" at the bottom.

2) Either post another blog entry or edit the most current entry that you've posted (add or delete a word, then re-save).

3) Make sure to check how other people view your page by clicking on the drop down menu "Preview as seen by" at the top right of your 360 "My Page". Choose a permission group and click the "Go" button.

4) Ask all site visitors (age 18 and over) with 360 pages to change their Basic Info Settings - click on the "Settings" link and scroll down to the bottom to select "Yes, let me view it" under "View Mature Content on a Blog." Click the "Save" button.

Anyone under age 18 will not be able to view your blog. Also, mature content is blocked the public who don't have 360 pages too. This is how it should be when posting mature/adult content on 360 spaces (according to the guidelines at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui...

UPDATE: If you really believe it's a glitch after checking %26amp; doing all of the above, click on your "Beta Feedback" link in the top right corner of your 360 space and send in a Help form on this Technical Problem.
Reply:Thanks for voting! Report It

Reply:go to your profile settings on your MY PAGE and look and see if you have it set to contain mature content.. if you do... and your birthday on your email account does not indicate you are 18 years of age or older.. it will not even show it to you..

I know.. crazy sounding I know.. but yahoo takes the under age and mature content very seriously.. the laws are very strict..
Reply:Unfortunately I'm having the same trouble at the moment. I posted a new blog yesterday, but it didn't show up for some reason. There's probably a glitch. It'll sort itself out soon hopefully :)
Reply:I am having the same problem this evening! I have always had my blogs show up and when I added two tonight...they disappeared from public view?

How do I post a link to friends blogs or to other blog posts?

Basically I would like to know the steps to provide a link to other people's 360 blogs or to individual blog posts, or even web sites, etc. I would like to be able to direct readers of my 360 to other people's blogs/posts to share areas of interest.

How do I post a link to friends blogs or to other blog posts?
1. You can add the links to your blogroll:

http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog/blogroll....

The blog roll appears below your blog's calendar.

2. You can write a blog and insert the links in that blog entry:

If you want to make a link from text you've already typed, just highlight the text, then click the "Add a Link" icon (this is located between the yellow emoticon and the "I" for Italics) on the toolbar. In the pop-up box, enter the URL and click "OK."

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/blo...

To use HTML to add a link:

1. Check the 'View HTML source' box (on the right of your blog entry page/near the emoticons/fonts/font colors, etc)

2.Paste this HTML tag/code into the blog:

%26lt;a href="URLofwebsitehere" target="_blank"%26gt;Nameofwebsitehere... %26lt;/a%26gt;

3. You can use the feed option:

Your friends can have a RSS/Feeds' link at the bottom of their blog page. Then, you can copy and paste the URL of their feed in the RSS/Feeds' section of your main page. But, your friends would have to set their blogs to public and check the box to enable their blogs to be used as feeds. They can do this here (the Blog Settings page):

http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog/edit_sett...

To add feeds of other blogs or websites:

If you're on a site, you can check to see if the site has feeds. The link to view a website's "RSS"/feed is usually on the side panel or at the very bottom of most websites.

Here some examples of sites with feeds:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/help/3223484....

http://news.yahoo.com/rss

For example:

On the BBC site, it says "Choose a feed." You click the echoing, orange icon or the and you'll be take to that particular feed's page. Then, you can copy the URL of the feed from your address bar and paste it into one of the boxes on your 360 page.

Do you have to delete Blogs entry after a while?

I was just wondering when you keep writing alot of blogs in your Yahoo 360, do you have to delete some of them after a while for more space?

Do you have to delete Blogs entry after a while?
I don't believe so..I hv seen pages with over 500 blogs. If this were the case, I'm sure Y! would let u know when it was time to start deleting.

Can you put music behind blogs on Myspace?

I was wondering, Can you put music behind the blogs on myspace? And How do you do it?

Can you put music behind blogs on Myspace?
i didn't do bloggin on myspace but i believe myspace do accept html code. so i just share the html. give a try :)

i assume u want to make it hidden..

this is the code

%26lt;embed src="http://www.yoursite.com/music/music... autostart="true" loop="false" hidden="true"%26gt;

the src is where your music located

the autostart is better to be left true, to enable autostart

the loop is false because no loop. if you want looping, replace with true

the hidden=true is to hide the "player"

try change it to false, u will see the player

all the best

Freelance writing n earning through blogs?

Please help if any one is really into these lines. i am really good at creative writing-essay narrations poetry grammar etc. I want to do part time , im doing b.b.a . Tell any genuine sites to start working. also any tips on how such blogs or my freelance profile etc should be. please help

Freelance writing n earning through blogs?
You have a great skill and you should join this affiliate site http://www.net-detective.co.uk I have been a member affiliate for them for six years and earn about $1500 - $1900.00 average a month.

I also write a blog about the sites by creatively writing a story about each category. for example there is a category on background search and so i wrote a little story on how two twins were separated after being put in a foster home and using links i created referred them to my affiliate site and the people who were doing a background search ended up joining and this also made me some money.

You can write about hundreds of stuff, and oh the twins they reunited after using net-detective.co.uk so guess who makes the money? Moi!

The best thing about it all is that it is completely free
Reply:You should start off by correcting your grammar mistakes right now. tsk tsk

Where online can I find blogs online that pay people to review movies?

Does anyone know of any blogs online that pay people to review movies on DVD, in theaters or on TV? I'd like to do movie reviews as I see a lot of them and have a lot of them on DVD. Can anyone please help me out?

Reply:I doubt you'd have much luck finding someone to pay you. Most online critics (myself included) don't really make a huge amount of money from the gig. My advice would be to start your own website/blog instead.

What's your favorite feminist blogs? What's your alternative to GWS?

I'm going to have a lot less time, so instead of wasting my time slogging through silly, demeaning, stupid, or hateful questions in GWS to find a few gems, I'm checking out feminist blogs to find the best, so I can use my limited time learning and growing, in a moderated environment, where I don't have to see and hear from the women-haters.

I've just started checking them out for the last few weeks, I'll let you know what I think as well.

What's your favorite feminist blogs? What's your alternative to GWS?
Ha. I have to add Feministing again, just because it's so ... wonderful and amusing. I like this blog quite a lot: http://feministe.powweb.com/blog/ (thanks to Carrie, who first suggested it!). I also like the Salon Broadsheet (http://www.salon.com/mwt/broadsheet/ ), which has all kinds of feminist "news."

Oh, this blog out of the UK is also kind of funny: http://mindthegapcardiff.blogspot.com/ .
Reply:I like your blog suggestions, too. I have to add them to my Favorites list. Report It

Reply:I like feministing.com a lot. I also go to http://www.amptoons.com/blog/ It's a broader focus than just feminism. There are a lot of great ones out there.
Reply:Yes, I am sure you will learn and grow among all the like minded ideologues on your feminist blog. I, for one, will not miss you. I do not like you and I do not like people like you.

What are the Best Java blogs -- beginner to medium level?
Search Google. Try some out. Make up your own mind.

Just because a forum is popular doesn't mean that it's of good _quality_. Look at Y!Answers for an example of this - it's huge, and mostly crap.

Do you read people's blogs/journals?

If yes, do you do so anonymously or do you leave comments?

If you don't read blogs, why?

Do you read people's blogs/journals?
I read, keep up with a gand whopping total of ONE web log. I do leave comments there when I can (Blogspot has a habit of being glitchy that way).

But as for the rest....no. I just have no deep, burning interest in most of what's out there. The only reason I keep up with the *one* that I do is because a) she's a good friend, and b) it's about a fairly rare and obscure interest online. As in, it's my way to keep up-to-date with my community of others online who also share this rare, obscure interest with me.

And the rest. Nope. I tried doing a web log thing myself and just didn't care for it. The motivation to keep it going, in the total absence of feedback (because I couldn't get the HTML or linkages to comments figured out) just wasn't there.

It was like the sound of one hand clapping for me, so I gave it up fairly quickly. And now....Yahoo with it's 360 Weblog/Profiles are really starting to annoy me over this. I *suck* at blogging, all right? I *do not* want to turn my Yahoo Profile (the main one, not the one here on Answers) into a damned weblog. So why should I *have to* do this for the almightly privilege of *seeing the profiles* of my Friends online?

It sucks is what it does. ^_^ But I digressed, sorry, didn't mean to rant there.

Point is...my interest in blogging, with the one, single exception, is nearly non-existent. As in, I could really *care less* about Yahoo 360 *or* 99.9999% of the web logs out there. It's just a lot of work and really no feedback unless you absolutely know what you are doing. And I'm a feedback junkie. ^_^

Hope this helps...thanks for your time! ^_^
Reply:Thanks for the Best Answer, much appreciated! ^_^ I know I seem to write an awful lot for Answers here, but a lot of it is the feedback thing. I don't do so well unless I know others are going to see what I type and respond to it, you know? ^_^ Report It

Reply:I go to Google blogs and type in a topic I'm interested about and read what people have to say. I only lurk, I never usually comment.

How to earn through the AdSense and the blogs. How one can invite the viewers? Is simultneous submissions Ok?

Well, the Adsense provides good opportunities, as one can earn from the Xomba.com, however, the question that remains of significant importance is that how one can know if the simultenous submissions say to Xomba.com and my blog does not violate the rules. Moreover, the AdSense does not seem to provide easy options for blogs, one needs to master it. Then how can a writer make submissions accessible to the viewers and add the ads as it says it is easy, but practically it does not seem so. So my question needs a stepwise explaintion about how the adsense can provide the easy steps for easy uploading and the selection of ads appaering on the blog, particulry if it is google blogs. Thanks!

How to earn through the AdSense and the blogs. How one can invite the viewers? Is simultneous submissions Ok?
Google makes it really easy to sign up for and place Adsense in their Blooger platform.

It is all done inhouse within Blogger.

Once you have been approved by Google and given a publisher number, you can use that on as many different sites as you wish.

Just paste the code with the same publisher number on the new site.

The Adsense ads will automatically adjust to the new content of your site.

Reply:If your blog is a wordpress blog, you can use the adsense-injection plug-in. This will give you complete control of where the ads is displayed and how it is displayed.
Reply:Once signed up for google adsense its as easy as copy and pasting the javascript into your sites index page. The best way to get an adsense account is thru blogger. Yes google owns the blogging platform and makes it easy to ad adsense to the blogs.

To have subdomains for my blogs page for every user in php....?

hi

I want to create a new blogs page...

Here im in need to create user domain for all the users....

if my site is named as sample.com the users should get their own domain as username.sample.com...

Iam doing im php with mysql in windows IIS....

Kindly help me...

To have subdomains for my blogs page for every user in php....?
Subdomains are a web server based option and depending on your server software determines if you can dynamically create and delete subdomains using PHP code.

If you have full controll over your web server or if your ISP allows for subdomain creation, see if there is a command line option to create/delete subdomains. If there is then you should be able to call that from your PHP to do it dynamically.

Can anyone tell me how to get my blogs back??

I went on my page today and my blogs were gone!! When I clicked, "Compose a blog", they all appeared but when I exited out of that function, they were gone again. The only thing that appears is my profile, my friends to the right, under my profile, my Yahoo Answers feed, and to the left, my avatar and then under that comments from friends. It's all very nice and I just love Yahoo 360 but I also love people reading my blogs, playing tag and reading others. When I click on my page, and click edit setting, I see that everything says, "Can be seen by public."-even the blog portion. Heeelllp!! :)

Also, I tried finding the email address to email the staff but I also cannot find that. Do any of you know it?

Can anyone tell me how to get my blogs back??
Here you go Nature Girl if you have problems in the future go here to possibly find the answer, you might find some interesting things to do to your blog also once you get it working.
